In 1995, Caudalie was born from a major scientific innovation: an exclusive patent on the extraction and stabilization of grape-seed polyphenols, the fruit of our collaboration with Professor Vercauteren, a world-renowned specialist in polyphenols.

Research is one of the pillars of the brand. Since the beginning, we have had our own team of researchers and formulators, and we invest 10% of our profits into research each year.

Our collaboration with Professor Vercauteren and the University of Pharmacy has allowed us to register 3 fundamentally advanced patents in Natural cosmetics:

• 1. The polyphenols from grape-seeds are the most powerful anti-oxidant in the plant world
• 2. Resveratrol from grapevine stalks, the anti-ageing revolution
• 3. Viniferine from grapevine sap, the most effective Natural molecule against dark spots
